BioIn 2004 I decided that even if I liked Los Angeles, I could never afford to buy a home here.
I began considering affordable big cities like Baltimore and Philadelphia.
Then Bush won in November.
After a lot of reflection and thinking, I looked into Canadian immigration.
It became apparent to me that I was living in the wrong country and that many of my own values and beliefs are far better represented in Canada than here in the States.
I made a trip to Toronto in the summer of 2005, found it to be moreorless exactly what I wanted in a city and filed my immigration paperwork in September 2005.
In June 2007, with my apartment lease expired and the visa in my hand, I made the move.
My new adventures, observations and commentary are now at http://moved2canada.blogspot.com/
This journal has become defunct but will stay online as a record of my mid 20s to early 30s.
